Kaltxì. Ngaru lu fpom srak? Mipa zìsìt lefpom ngaru!

It says "Hello, how are you? Happy New Year!" in Na'vi language. Yes, the language used in the 2009 blockbuster movie by James Cameron, "Avatar". It's 4.32 am in the morning and yeah, I just got back from watching the film in Sunway Pyramid. Yes I know at this moment I'm quite behind schedule. First of all, it's already 3rd January and I'm a little too late for the Happy New Year wish. And secondly, I know "Avatar" was released 2 weeks ago and I'm lagged behind when it comes to telling the world about how stupendous the film is. But don't worry, this entry is not a review of the motion picture.

Anyway, I realize that it's been a while since I last posted my entry. Too many things were going on during my truancy. The first thing was UiTM's timetable registration. This particular event really cracked my head. It was supposed to be completed on the 21st December but due to some technical problems, the timetable for our next semester could not be uploaded in time and we all had to wait for another week. Fast forward: It's time for registration, but all of us who will soon be the semester sixth students could not completed our schedule because three timetables for three subjects were not yet uploaded. So we had to wait another several days to register our group. In the previous semesters, there was not even an impediment during the timetable registration. This semester proved to be the most frustrating experience.

It was within those week that an illness began to take control of my body - fever. You see, when we get sick, it starts off with a single infection. One lone nasty intruder. Pretty soon the intruder duplicates. Becomes two. Then those two become four. And those four become eight. Then, before our body knows it, it’s under attack. It’s an invasion. It took me one whole week to recuperate from bilious nay nauseous feelings. I swear I really felt that I was about to meet the Creator for eternity. Pardon my exaggeration. Anyway, I'm thankful that I'm still breathing till today. You see, an illness is not a close companion for me. We only meet once in a blue moon. But truly, I must say that during those days of illness, I came to a realization that my life could end in a blink of an eye.

I know this entry has many issues and for sure if I write each issue separately, I would have written a lot entries for this month. Never mind. Blame me for my imperfection of deferment procrastination. Sigh. My sixth semester will begin this Tuesday. Another rough semester is waiting to be endured. I know it's 2010 and everybody is eager, full of anticipation to achieve their new goals before this year becomes just another history. I don't really have a new goal for this new year. Yeah, I'm lame and you can go suck an egg! Pftt. When it's all said and done, all I ever wanted is for this year to be much better than last year in all aspects that matter.

Tsun oe ngahu nìNa’vi pivängkxo a fì’u oeru pllte’ lu.

Yes, it's the na'vi language, again. And it means "It’s a pleasure to be able to chat with you in Na’vi". See, this is another reason why I become a wikipedian in the first place. I get to read latest valid information firsthand. Until then, kìyeváme (good bye!).

For your information, this entry has been posted in my friendster's blog. I am sure some of you have read it before. Nevertheless, I decide to re-post it here in my official blog because I want to make it as a collection so that one day, I can retrieve it back for future use. Hope you like it.

If you're well dressed,
she thinks you're a playboy.
If you're not,
She thinks you're ragged.
If you praise her,
she thinks you're a liar.
If you don't,
you're good for nothing.

If you agree with all her likes,
She's abusing.
If you don't, you're not understanding.
If you make romance,
you're an experienced man.
If you don't, you're half-half man.
If you visit her often,
she thinks it's boring.
If you don't,
she accuses you of double-crossing.
If you fail to assist her cross the street,
you lack ethics.
If you do, she thinks it is just men's tactic.

If you kiss her once in a while,
she professes you're nothing.
If you attempt a romance,
she says you don't respect her.
If you don't, she thinks you don't like her.
If you're jealous, she says it's bad.
If you're not, she doubts your love.

If you listen to her she wants you to talk.
If you talk, she wants you to listen.
If you contradict her, she does not like it.
If you don't, she thinks you're gullible.

"Oh... woman!"
So simple yet so complex
So weak yet so powerful
So confusing... but so desirable!

Nota kepala: Sila pastikan anda telah membaca entri Where is Nur Amalina Now sebelum anda membaca entri ini. Sekian terima kasih.

Almost two years ago, I posted an entry regarding my utmost disbelief about one of my lecturers who made an unreliable statement saying that Nur Amalina Che Bakri, who scored 17A1 in her SPM 2004, failed her foundation course in UK. Until today, that entry is one of the most viewed entries in my blog. Some readers argue that even though she didn't fail her foundation course, she failed her second year degree in Edinburgh.

Like I said, all the news that talk about her failure is merely a rumour. This entry is dedicated for those of you who have been arguing, or rather claiming that Nur Amalina has failed her second year degree in Edinburgh.

"Timbalan Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, berkata pihaknya tidak menerima sebarang maklumat mengenai desas-desus yang mengatakan Nur Amalina gagal dalam pengajiannya serta tidak lagi menuntut di United Kingdom."

"Nur Amalina tidak pernah gagal dalam pengajiannya, malah antara pelajar terbaik dalam bidang Farmakologi dengan Pengalaman Industri (Pharmacology with Industrial Experience)"

For a solid proof, you can read the cover story that debunks this misunderstanding here - Berita Harian: Amalina Masih Menuntut di Edinburgh.

Alhamdulillah, by the time this entry is written, Amalina and I manage to get back in touch again, after losing contact since early 2006. It's nice to know she is currently spending her holiday in Italy and will return back to Malaysia next Eid. When all is said and done, I'm grateful that all the rumours are finally debunked. I'm always proud of her. Lastly, may all of us strive for excellence the way she does. Amin.
